Long-Awaited Road Trip

We went on a long-awaited and much-needed road trip to the beach a little while ago. It was a little cold and foggy but warmed up pretty fast as the sun started to peek through the clouds. It ended up a beautiful day out-walking along the beach, taking pictures, or just sitting and soaking up the sun. I saw jellyfish, crabs and dolphins-which was really cool! I picked up all the jellyfish I saw and threw them back into the ocean. It was the first time my dog ever went to the beach, and she loved it. We don't let her dig in the yard, so when she got to dig at the beach you could tell she was having lots of fun-even if her hole kept filling back up with sand. Haha! She wasn't so sure about the water though, but baby steps. I wasn't daring enough to get in the water myself, but I watched all the other people jump in. Maybe next time. Overall, a very fun day with family!

Family, friends and a whole lot of fun!

                                                    Exquisite Corps

I danced the night away with friends, family and all the other people there, not caring how I looked dancing, just there to have fun and listen to music. Exquisite Corps was great as they rocked the stage with their set, even covering a Doors song. Then headlining was !!! (Chk Chk Chk). When they came out that's when the dance floor got crazy as everyone danced. The singer came down into the crowd dancing with some of the people, sweat dripping down his face and probably a lot of other people's too. Overall it was an awesome night filled with fun!

Low On The Horizon

Aww sunset...one of the many beautiful things in life. I love going out and looking at all the colors in the sky as the sun starts to slowly sink, displaying gorgeous colors. Whenever I look at it, it makes me feel happy and peaceful. What determines sky's colors at sunset? According to Science Daily, "Because the sun is low on the horizon, sunlight passes through more air at sunset and sunrise than during the day, when the sun is higher in the sky. More atmosphere means more molecules to scatter the violet and blue light away from your eyes."

Friday Night Concerts In The Park

Cherry Bomb!

And I'm back! I know this is late, but how was everyone's weekend? I haven't had much time to blog since the weekend, but I'm taking the time now. I went to Friday Night Concerts in the Park. The bands were great; they got people a movin' and a groovin'. Although it was packed, the people were friendly and conversational. And there was shaved ice almost as big as my head! Mine was called the cherry bomb; it was cherry and vanilla and super yummy! If you live in the Sacramento area and you're into music, you should come check it out one of these Friday evenings! Plus it's free. How cool is that?!

Rocker

I've been totally into music and going to concerts to see live music ever since I was a little girl. And I would say my passion has only grown as I get older. I took this picture when I went to the Launch Festival last year. It was so much fun, and the bands rocked Sacramento! This was one of my favorite bands called Grouplove--and this is their bassist, Sean. They bring so much energy and liveliness when they play. I love how they playfully interact with the crowd!

What's one of your favorite bands?

Togetherness

These twins' affection for each other was so sweet and heartwarming to see. Faces aglow with beautiful smiles stretched across them! I love this picture because I think it shows love, happiness, and togetherness.

Jabberwocky

This boy, who is a part of my homeschool group, is very inspiring! As he recited Lewis Carroll's "Jabberwocky" yesterday for May Day, he not only just delivered it, he brought it to life! His whole being was into it as he embodied  the characters.
